The Brynduraz
Overview
An unusual dwarven sphere, thousands of years old, a bumpy and cracked stone bound in rough cast iron embedded with strange dull crystals. It feels cold to the touch ... and buzzes slightly. Its surface is pitted and marked with burns. An unusual rune adorns one side, although hardly dwarven in its likeness. Our heroes found this locked in a vault in the crashed dwarven ship the Ang Baraz.

Rumours and Legends
Most of what our heroes know about the Brynduraz is vague and unclear, including information relayed to them by the ghost of Senior Engineer Hadra Ketilson:
- Approximately 1000 years ago, the Brynduraz was stolen from the Karaz Thrung Nar ("Northern Shield Mountain") by the "Servants of the Eternal Night, minions of Nihilus the Shadow Walker, our ancient foe".
- If this is true, the theft coincides with ⌛The Convergence during which shard-constructs throughout 🗺️Sordane become sentient - many of whom join forces and become the Odarii nation.
- Approximately 500 years ago, the dwarven clan Ganden Baraz (“The Promise to Find”) set out from 🗺️Lozandar to 🗺️Teyrote to recover “a piece of a machine that was stolen”. The Ang Baraz (“The Promise of Iron”) was the flagship of a fleet of dozens of warships.
- Some time after, the fleet entered a wildstream and was destroyed in a magical explosion. The debris of the fleet were cast into the ocean, with the bulk of the remnants dumped on to the middle of an island somewhere in the Geldius Ocean in the northern hemisphere.
