Caelius Marcellus is a 70 year old male human lord.
Caelius is the patriarch of 👑House Marcellus and was representative of his house within the Cin'Dar Senate before the fall of the ⚖️Cin'Dar Republic. Caelius is the patron of the largest Cin'Dar merchant fleets, many thousands of vessels fly the banner of his house.
Caelius Marcellus was established as Imperator of the Imperium Aeternum following the fall of the Republic in Sunburst (Mid Summer) PR 3898. As Imperator he holds unchecked ultimate power over the nation of Cin'Dar
Masters of maritime trade, House Marcellus dominates Cin'Dar's naval endeavours. Their vast fleets ply the skies, ensuring the republic's access to vital resources and luxury goods. They are the key player in the trade networks that connect Cin'Dar as a nation and to distant lands.

Caelius is the patriarch of House Marcellus. Prior to the fall of the Republic, House Marcellus controlled vast resources as masters of maritime trade, dominating Cin'Dar's naval endeavours. Their vast fleets ensured the republic's access to vital resources and luxury goods. They were the key player in the trade networks that connect Cin'Dar as a nation and to distant lands.
Following the fall of the Republic, Caelius also controls the resources of the entire nation of Cin'Dar, including its army, navy and civil institutions (such as academies, industries and guilds).
In addition:
- Caelius has significant personal interests in the 🏢Orhaz region, where he has a villa on the outskirts of the city, and significant influence over the guilds and politics of the region.
- Caelius often sailed aboard The Horizon’s Legacy, his private yacht.
- House Marcellus exclusively leased the Landon family business when it collapsed following the bombing of the port of 🏢Ir'Dan (👑Hiln).

Recent Events
As yet our heroes do not know the machinations and manoeuvres that Caelius undertook prior to the campaign starting, however they very likely included the political scheming that was required to bring about the fall of the Republic, alongside other collaborators.
During 📖Book 1 - Friends in High Places
- Caelius's influence during book 1 are unknown, presumably he was operating out of 🏢Ezdin, where the ⚖️Cin'Dar Senate resided.
During 📖Book 2- The Lost Fleet
- During Greenleaf (April / Spring) Caelius was present in 🏢Orhaz, along with his mistress and youngest son, as patron of the gladiatorial games.
During 📖Book 3 - The Lead Zeppelin
- Caelius was not present during the attack by Amaru cultists at the 🎖️Ezdin Jubilee Cup during 📖Book 3 - The Lead Zeppelin and survived the assassination of the ⚖️Cin'Dar Senate.
- With the senate insolvent following the assassination, Caelius was appointed as Speaker for the Senate by 🚹Prime Marshal Maxiumus Ironthorne.
- In his first act as Speaker for the Senate, Caelius dissolved the Senate, disestablished the Republic and established the First Empire of Cin'Dar (the Imperium Aeternum).
- In his first act as Imperator, Caelius ordered the public execution of 🚹Decimus Junius Cordius and 🚹Decimus Horatius Plutus Octavianus for treachery. The ⚔️14th Legionius Ferrum ("Steel Legion") carried out the order.
