Personal Quest

Hook: The stars have aligned, and the portents point to Merrick.

ChoTaan boarded the Ladies Luck as a paying passenger in Ezdin bound for Sh’Reet, for the sheer joy of sighting the stars as they crossed the equator. While studying the stars he has a strong premonition that something of enormous importance is going to happen - more important than anything in a thousand years - and Merrick Landon is at the center of it.

Backstory

From an early age he was inspired by the stars, drawn by the shapes that hinted at strange mysteries. He was apprenticed to the tribe's shaman and eventually became a druid of the circle of stars – seeking knowledge from the constellations.

At 16 he was overcome with a desire to travel, to see the world and map the changes in the stars he knew and discover new constellations. He has travelled on various airships for the last two years, seeking out new places and mapping both the stars and the lands beneath them. He is curious about new places, but distant and awkward with most people. He is often stared at and treated as a spectacle due to the rarity of Titarans, and is uncomfortable in cities – preferring the freedom of travel and the wilderness.

In the mornings and the evening, he can usually be found meditating on the stars above, searching the constellations for new meanings. After the evening meal he will often play softly on the pan flute - the music has a distinctly fey air to it and he is unable to articulate where he learnt it, the music just flows when he plays.
